Just Cause 4 Leaks in Steam Ad

Publisher Square Enix and programmer Avalanche Studios management will be issuing a big sigh, groan, or exist sitting with heads in hands this morning after Steam managed to leak an unannounced game. That game is Merely Cause 4, and few will be sorry to hear (even so prematurely) that it'south being fabricated.

As Eurogamer reports, the leak came via Steam through an advertizement on its marketplace. For some reason, whoever put the ad images together decided to include a Just Cause iv "Pre-Purchase Now" image. Those lucky enough to run across the ad first-hand could click on the image, but it just loaded the Steam homepage.

Square Enix and Avalanche have nonetheless to comment officially, but as this is a pre-purchase image and Steam had the asset available to use, it'south condom to assume an announcement wasn't far off. With E3 boot off on June 12, expect Merely Cause iv to be unveiled as part of whatever forthcoming games presentation and showreel Square Enix has planned.

We reviewed Just Cause 3 on PS4 back in January 2022 post-obit its launch in December 2022. Although we took issue with how long it takes to unlock the virtually fun mods and weapons, and the fact there was no official multiplayer, we still loved the big sandbox gameplay on offering.
